Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AiSejahtera ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal data when you use the AI Calorie mobile app and the website at aisejahtera.com (together, the "Service"). We handle personal data in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and, where it applies to you, similar laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.

1. Who we are

AI Calorie is operated by AiSejahtera, Malaysia. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@aisejahtera.com.

2. Data we collect

Account data

You can use the app with an anonymous account, or sign in with Apple or Google. If you sign in, we receive the identifier, and the name and email address your provider shares with us (Apple may give you a private relay email).

Profile and health-related data

To personalise your calorie and macro targets, the app may ask for details such as age, sex, height, weight, activity level and goals (for example weight loss or muscle gain). This may be sensitive personal data. We only process it with your consent, and you can choose what to enter.

Food logs, photos and voice

Meals you log, foods you search for or scan by barcode, photos of meals you take or select, and text created when you dictate a meal by voice. The camera, microphone, speech recognition and photo library are used only after you grant permission, and only for these features.

Purchase data

Subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play and by our subscription provider RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and purchase identifiers, not your payment card details.

Website analytics

On aisejahtera.com we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies and similar identifiers and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. You can block it with your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Device, usage and diagnostics data

Device model, operating system, app version, language, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising and app-instance identifiers, push notification token, app interactions, crash reports and performance data.

3. How we use your data

• Provide the Service: create your account, log meals, calculate calories and macros, show progress and history.
• Estimate nutrition from meal photos and text using AI (see section 4).
• Manage subscriptions and unlock Premium features.
• Send notifications you have allowed, such as reminders.
• Understand usage, fix crashes, and improve speed and quality.
• Show and measure ads in the free version, where enabled.
• Keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. AI processing

When you scan or describe a meal, the photo or text is sent through our servers to Google's Gemini AI service to identify the food and estimate nutrition. We use this only to return your result and operate the Service. Results are estimates and may be wrong. Please do not include faces, documents or other people's personal information in meal photos.

5. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with providers that help us run the Service, under their own terms and privacy policies:

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer such as a merger, with notice where required.

6. Advertising and tracking choices

On iOS we ask for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, we do not use the device advertising identifier for that purpose. You can change this in your device settings, and you can limit ad personalisation in your Apple or Google account settings.

7. International transfers

Our servers are in Singapore, and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or your consent for these transfers.

8. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete Account) or by following the steps at aisejahtera.com/delete-account. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.

9. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. Email contact@aisejahtera.com from the address linked to your account, and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Commissioner or your local authority.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Users under 18 should use the app with a parent's or guardian's approval.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Health information notice

AI Calorie provides general nutrition information and estimates. It is not a medical service and does not give medical advice. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have or may have an eating disorder.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by other suitable means.
