Is Cal AI free?

Cal AI's homepage advertises a 3-day free trial and does not show weekly, monthly or yearly prices (checked 11 October 2026). Whether it has a permanent free tier is not stated there, so confirm in the App Store or Google Play before you start. AI Calorie's free plan has daily limits and no trial period.

Is there an app like Cal AI but free?

AI Calorie is similar in that you log meals from a photo, and it has a free plan with 1 photo scan, 5 text logs and 2 insights per day. Pro is optional. It is a newer app that started in Malaysia and Indonesia, so judge it on the free plan before you decide.

Is MyFitnessPal or Cal AI better?

Neither is better for everyone. MyFitnessPal lists a free plan for nutrition, weight and exercise tracking, with scanning and macro goals under Premium, while Cal AI focuses on photo logging. Pick based on how you like to log, what the free tier allows and the price in your store.

Is the Cal AI app worth it?

That depends on your goals and budget, and we cannot judge it neutrally because we make a competing app. Try any free trial first, read recent store reviews and check the renewal price before you subscribe. Cancel in your store settings if it does not suit you.
